TRYOUTS WILL BE HELD IN LIGHT RAIN
Tryout times and dates have been indentified. Please check back often before your age group tryout in case dates are postponed due to weather.
Location: All tryouts will be held at Chico High School unless otherwise noted below.
Arrival Time: Please arrive by 2:30 PM to fill out the appropriate paperwork for tryout.
Paperwork: Every player must submit a CYSA Form 1601 prior to their tryout. The form can be downloaded and brought to the tryout for faster registration. CYSA Form 1601 download (PDF). This form must be signed in Blue ink or other than black.
Attendance: Each potential player must attend at least one tryout day. We recommend attending both days to allow for evaluators to get as much information about players abilities as possible.
What to bring: Water, shinguards, appropriate shoes. Returning players may not wear any part of their team uniform for the tryouts.
What to expect: Each tryout will be run by a coach and/or evaluator. The sessions will focus on physical and technical skills first then move to tactical situations through game play. Evaluators unfamiliar with the players will provide assessments to the coach on players abilities.
Team selection: Players will be selected according to their demonstrated abilities by the evaluator(s) and coach(es) for that team age group.
